Description
Demolition, alteration and extension of existing retail units to provide new retail shell units. The existing buildings to be redeveloped included the Grade I listed Octagon Chapel and several other Grade II listed buildings on Milsom Street and Broad Street.
The redeveloped scheme created a partially enclosed shopping centre providing a total of 58,488ft² of retail, restaurant and office space. The redevelopment opened up The Octagon, one of Bath’s oldest buildings, and created two new entrances: one leading from Broad Street into the Octagon Yard and a new entrance from Green Street.
