Description
Stonework replacement pilot scheme to sections of the South and West walls of the Cathedral.
The scheme involved identification of severely weathered or damaged stones which required replacement.
As part of the project, two new grotesques were designed and carved; a fox and a tiger to represent Leicester’s football, rugby and cricket teams.
Winner of Leicestershire & Rutland Local Joint Consultative Committee Craftsmanship Award 2019
