Description
Construction of a two-storey office extension, linked to an existing historic building by a single storey glass corridor.
The architectural details of the building are sympathetic to the period features of the existing building with some modern elements. A stone banding to ground and first floor levels provides similar aesthetics to the existing historic building with a modern twist of the curtain walling, Brise Soleil and a glazed entrance lobby. This has provided a high end modern commercial feel without losing the heritage appearance of the surrounding site.
The internal finishes continue the modern feel with open ceilings showing the mechanical services within a vaulted roof space, high quality pre-finished doors and glazed partitions to meeting rooms.
Finalist in the Small Non-Residential Scheme of the Year category at the ProCon Leicestershire Awards 2020-21.
